Margaux is wearing the DECADES crop, the COMPOSITION suit, the GODFATHER blazer, the CROSS set, and the HARDING pant
When it comes to super model and all around super babe Margaux, the love is totally mutual. She rocks AGAIN like no one else. She has been a huge supporter of us for years, and we could not be more obsessed. You might recognize her from Oxygen's TV show "The Face", or from one of her many photo shoots. We got a chance to catch up with Margaux about wine snobs, favorite trends, and growing up in the suburbs.
What was the last song you listened to?
"Ribs" by Lorde
Where is your favorite place to vacation?
I've only had two vacations in the last 6 years but they were both to tropical places like Costa Rica or the Caribbean. I would love for my next vacation to be somewhere like Thailand or Bali. But typically if there is a beach, I will go.
What is it like in your hometown?
I grew up in Georgia, just north of Atlanta. The people are so nice and there is no beating Southern cuisine. Just thinking about it makes me want to go get some shrimp and grits or chicken and waffles. I spent my summers on a houseboat, riding jet skis and learning to wakeboard. My home town is pretty great if you don't mind being in the suburbs.
I'm at that point in my life where everything is exciting and I wish I could split in to four different people and pursue all of my interests simultaneously to see which one fits. I've been modeling since I was 9 years old so obviously to walk in a huge show or book a designer campaign would be a dream come true. But I'm also interested in acting and want to see where that goes as well. I also love to write and wish I could escape to an island somewhere to write a novel. Lastly there is the nerdy side of me that loves all things tech and would love a creative job at a silicone valley startup or super company like Google. I have so many ideas about what I want to do with my life. It's kind of annoying but I guess it's better than not having any.
What is your favorite piece on our website?
You're going to make me choose?! First I have to preface that I am a HUGE Again fan and I have personally worn a lot of your pieces. I have always LOVED the Stein Austrian Sequin dress, the color and design is SO major! For a more casual look I love the Garden leather cutout dress and the always sexy Ashby Backless Metallic Dress.
How would you describe your personal style?
My style is a combination casual and comfortable. I like to wear very basic pieces like t-shirts and jeans but I look for designers who achieve this combo in a fashionable manner.
Current nail/toe color?
For funsies I've been rocking "Ole Caliente"by Essie, but when I have to keep it natural for modeling I always go for "Bubble Bath" by OPI.
Favorite trend right now?
I'm prefacing my answer off of what I see at fashion events in LA, not necessarily the current runway trends- I love that the 90s have come back in to style. That was my childhood. I would dress like Cher from Clueless every day I would. Crop tops and high waisted skirts all day every day!
Least favorite trend right now?
Again, not so much a runway trend but one I have been seeing in LA way too much- Also a 90s look, I am not a huge fan of platform sneakers. No no no! Reminds me of Baby Spice from The Spice Girls and how nervous I felt every time she ran in them in Spice World.
Favorite vintage shop in LA?
I don't really shop for vintage in LA, estate sales in Orange County are where it's at but I do really like Crossroads Trading Co. They have really amazing vintage designer pieces for cheap, cheap, cheap!
Beer, Wine or Cocktail?
All of the above. I used to be a wine snob, only indulging in Malbecs but I have come a long way in the last two years. I now love a good Belgian white to enjoy with a slice of pizza and when I'm out with friends I like to get a gin and tonic. If you like gin but don't always like to drop the dough for Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire may I suggest Amsterdam. It's actually pretty amazing for the price!
What is your spirit animal?
Panda!! They are adorable and fuzzy and all they do all day is eat, sleep and goof around. That is exactly what I would want to be doing if I was living in the forest in a permanent fur onesie.
If you could live in any era, which would it be?
I always say the '20s because the women had such style with their short hair and flapper dresses, plus the party scene looked pretty impressive but in all honestly I would love not want to be married at 18 to some guy in a suit so maybe not. I really loved 2013. I'm a big fan of technology and I know that it's going to get even more impressive as time goes on so I'm glad to be living in the present.
